Exploring Colour Palettes for 2026 with Warwick Fabrics.

Colour Preview 2026 by Warwick Fabrics

At Warwick Fabrics, we consider colour an intrinsic part of the design process. It shapes the emotional tone of a collection and is elevated through considered fabric construction and texture.

Each year, our creative team visits leading design exhibitions across the globe, particularly throughout Europe, to explore emerging colour and design trends. This ongoing curiosity, cultivated over the past 60 years, has positioned Warwick Fabrics at the forefront of textile design, developing fabrics that are innovative, performance-driven, and guided by colour at the core. Through an Australian sensibility, our design team has responded to these influences in recent releases.

Below is a summary of three key colour trends you will be seeing in our ranges for 2026, followed by a closer look at each palette and the fabric designs that bring them to life.

Colour Trend Overview

Colour continues to draw influence from the warm, futuristic tones of 2025, evolving into palettes that celebrate positivity, individuality and comfort. We are seeing saturated hues explored through tonal variations within a single colour, paired with accent tones across both residential and commercial interiors. This layered approach to colour blocking injects spaces with immersive joy, while supporting mental clarity, collaboration and creativity.

Balancing this vibrancy is our continued admiration for biophilic palettes, with grounding, earthy shades drawn from nature. This year, these restorative tones deepen in mood and richness, creating intimate, nurturing environments suited to living spaces and softly lit hospitality settings.

Providing a quiet counterpoint is the embrace of nuanced neutrals. These tones remain calm and uplifting, yet are enriched with subtle warmth, shimmer and sheen, offering a foundation for design-led interiors. Together, these key trends reflect a desire to surround ourselves with colour that evokes emotion, offers comfort, and feels instilled with individuality.

Colour Preview I Yellow Colour Spectrum

Layering tonal variations across a colour spectrum, such as earthy yellow will be shaping both residential and educational interiors. Golden hues including butter, honey, ochre and amber are emerging as a warm canvas, allowing accent colours to subtly come into play. Pops of deep indigo, cobalt and even crimson are layering into yellow-toned spaces through paint, drapery, upholstery, accessories and architectural elements.

The impact of yellow shifts depending on context. In educational spaces, it’s playfully incorporated with higher saturation to define learning zones, encouraging engagement, focus and interaction. In residential interiors, yellow is used more tonally and with restraint, explored through sun-washed hues that create immersive, energising spaces rich with personal expression.

This optimistic palette is further enhanced through comforting textiles such as chenille, bouclé, mohair, velvet and suede. These fabric constructions are ideal for holding saturated hues, where texture and tonal nuance allow greater design creativity while imbuing spaces with individuality.

Colour Preview I Rich, Earthy Tones

Moody, more atmospheric colour schemes are increasingly prominent across residential and hospitality interiors. An enduring palette in recent years has continued to evolve, now emphasising shades with increased depth. Deep chocolate, clay, brick, warm taupe, cherry, and dusty terracotta are key hues that carry this palette, enriching spaces with comfort and reflection.

As interiors move away from spacious minimalism, there is a clear shift toward more intimate, defined environments. In residential settings, this colour scheme supports relaxed, grounded living spaces, while in bars and restaurants it heightens ambience, softens light, and encourages social connection.

Fabrics rich in tactility and imperfection, such as clipped and nubby jacquards, cut velvets, and slub linens are embracing this scheme. The interplay of warm colour with natural textures, irregular yarns, and imperfect patterning reinforces the desire for restorative palettes and grounding materiality. Considered design elements such as patinated heirlooms and handcrafted, artisanal objects further support this movement toward interiors that feel genuine, personal and introspective.

Colour Preview I Iridescent Colour and Nuanced Neutrals

Neutrals are evolving beyond cool foundations into palettes that feel more enduring, sophisticated and nuanced. Rather than sitting in the background, these natural tones now carry increased warmth with subtle luminosity, creating interiors that feel refined yet supportive of wellbeing.

Classic cream, ash silver and pearl are layered with natural greens such as moss, apple, lime and eucalyptus. Together, these colours reduce visual stimulation and calm the mind and body, making them particularly suited to residential and healthcare environments. This effect is further enhanced by a shift from rigid blinds to soft sheers, alongside furniture and accessories layered in natural tones, creating immediate comfort and balance within homes and wellness-focused spaces.

In fabrics, this is expressed through varied constructions and textured finishes. Metallic yarns woven into sheers, dimensional cords, two-toned bouclés, luminous chenilles and sleek vinyls introduce gentle sheen and light play. This subtle luminosity lifts interiors without overpowering them, while the tactile quality of these fabrics supports a sense of calm and sophistication.

In 2026, our current and upcoming releases reflect these key colour palettes, with collections that celebrate saturated hues alongside expansive earth and neutral tones. Guided by an Australian sensibility and a considered approach, our design team has paired colour with fabric constructions that balance design intent with performance.

Together, these releases respond to the continued shift toward spaces that feel personal and expressive, offering diversity in texture and colour to support distinct interiors.
