Inspiring New Colour Trends

Our recent design tour of Paris and London has unveiled inspiring new trends. From earthy greens and sunlit citrons to rich purples and subtle blues, these colour stories will be integral in setting the tone for the coming year. Each palette offers unique possibilities for pattern and texture, making it ideal for commercial interiors that balance ambiance with durability.

Let’s explore these colour stories, each paired with patterns that bring them to life.

RAIN FOREST GREEN

The lush, grounding tone of Rain Forest Green draws inspiration from the natural world, connecting us to a sense of calm and resilience. This colour story aligns seamlessly with our Tres Trend, The Naturalist, where creating interiors that feel familiar, comforting, and deeply connected to nature is essential. This makes Rain Forest Green a perfect choice for spaces that encourage relaxation and tranquillity.

This green pairs beautifully with patterns inspired by wildlife and underwater motifs. Subtle animal prints add sophistication to fabrics, floral designs bring organic shapes that can be softened or intensified depending on the setting. Rain Forest Green is ideal for commercial lounge seating and upholstered accents, offering a serene escape in spaces like spas, hotels, and wellness centres.

CITRON

Vibrant yet refined, citron-yellow brings energy and freshness, uplifting interiors without overpowering them. This colour works wonderfully in commercial spaces that aim to create a positive, welcoming atmosphere, such as cafes, creative workspaces, and boutique hotels. For added depth, pair citron with richer tones of yellow like Risso Ochre and DiCaprio Cinnamon, found in our Tres Trend, The Naturalist.

For pattern pairings, modern takes on checkerboards and crosshatch geometric designs enhance citron’s brightness, adding a playful element to the fabric. These patterns combined with citron create a balance between structure and spontaneity, adding a lively yet sophisticated feel to any commercial setting.

DUSTY BLUE

From the Victorian Era to Mid-Century Modern, blue has been a cornerstone in interior palettes symbolising calmness and opulence. It has evolved through each cultural and technological shift and as it enters a more phase it will add a quiet sophistication and tactile appeal to both classic and modern commercial spaces.

Dusty blue exudes a sense of timeless elegance, grounding spaces. This versatile colour works especially well in settings where a calm, professional ambiance is essential, such as offices, conference rooms, or refined hospitality environments.

Fabrics in dusty blue can be used for everything from upholstery to decorative cushions, adding quiet sophistication and tactile appeal to both classic and modern commercial spaces.

GREENY BROWN

Greeny browns, with their rich, earthy hues, are a powerful choice for commercial interiors that seek to convey authenticity, warmth, and a sense of heritage. This palette is particularly suited for boutique hotels, cosy cafes, or eco-conscious commercial interiors, where patrons are looking for more than just style—they’re seeking a connection to the organic and the artisanal.

Fabrics in these greeny-brown tones can be used in accent pieces, such as upholstered chairs or ottomans, to create focal points that add depth and character to the room. They work beautifully for drapery, where the subtle yet complex hues draw the eye and create a soft, inviting atmosphere that feels both luxurious and unpretentious. Cushions in these tones can also enhance seating areas, offering visual warmth while creating a tactile experience that invites people to linger.

PURPLE AND BURGANDY

The allure of purple in interior design lies in its depth and richness. For 2025, purples are sophisticated and earthy, lending a touch of luxury without overwhelming. This colour story also appears in our 2025 Tres Trend The Collector and is especially suited for high-end commercial spaces, from lounges and executive suites to exclusive restaurants.

These fabrics are perfect for areas seeking an ambiance of elegance and sophistication, with patterns that feel both historical and uniquely modern.

Patterns inspired by classical architecture, antique tapestries, or even the intricate details of traditional textiles lend a sense of legacy and refinement, while contemporary interpretations give them a fresh edge. In this way, purple fabrics in The Collector trend honor the past while staying firmly rooted in the present, offering an aesthetic that appeals to a discerning clientele who value both beauty and depth in design.
