Everyday protection, made simple.

WarGuard Explained

Our everyday spaces are meant to be enjoyed. From quiet evenings at home and family gatherings to busy restaurants, hotels and public environments, upholstered furniture shapes the way we experience a space, bringing comfort and functionality to both private and shared settings. With everyday use comes the inevitable risk of spills, stains and unexpected mishaps.

While beautiful upholstery brings comfort and character to an interior, practical performance is just as important. That's where WarGuard comes in.

Designed to make everyday living easier, WarGuard provides stain resistance to help protect upholstered furniture from common spills and stains. Developed with a more environmentally considered, non-toxic formulation that is safe for people and pets, the treatment delivers reliable performance without compromising the fabric’s appearance or feel.

What is WarGuard?

WarGuard is an advanced, non-toxic fabric treatment designed to help protect upholstery against everyday spills and stains.

Unlike treatments applied after purchase, WarGuard is integrated into the fabric during manufacturing, creating an invisible protective barrier around individual fibres. This helps prevent spills from penetrating the fabric as readily, allowing for easier cleaning and ongoing maintenance.

The result is a practical, easy-care upholstery solution that provides added peace of mind for both residential and commercial interiors.

How does WarGuard work?

Depending on the yarn type and thickness, WarGuard is applied using one of two specialised methods: a submersion bath or a multi-stream fibre coating system.

Both methods create an invisible protective barrier around the fibres, helping to minimise staining while maintaining the fabric's original appearance, texture and performance.

This protective layer helps minimise staining from common spills, making everyday accidents easier to manage. While WarGuard provides excellent stain resistance, oil-based stains can be more difficult to remove, and prompt cleaning is always recommended for the best results.

A more considered approach to fabric protection

WarGuard combines practical performance with a more environmentally considered formulation.

The water-based, solvent-free treatment is non-toxic and formulated without fluorochemicals, including PFOA or PFOS. It is also free from carcinogenic substances, offering an alternative to conventional fabric protection treatments.

By incorporating protection during the manufacturing process, WarGuard provides a ready-to-use upholstery solution without the need for additional treatment after purchase. This makes selecting a practical, easy-care fabric simpler, with the added confidence of built-in stain resistance.

How to care for WarGuard fabrics

While WarGuard helps make everyday maintenance easier, proper care remains essential to preserving the longevity of your upholstery.

For the best results:

Act quickly. Attend to spills and stains immediately to minimise absorption into the fabric.

Remove excess liquid. Use a clean, damp white cloth to gently blot spills and absorb as much liquid as possible. Avoid rubbing the affected area.

Spot clean when necessary. Use plain white soap and water with a clean white cloth, working gently in circular motions and lifting the cloth between movements to avoid spreading the stain or working it deeper into the fabric.

Seek professional care. Professional cleaning is recommended for stubborn stains, with annual professional cleaning advised as part of regular maintenance. WarGuard is designed to maintain its protective performance for up to five professional cleans, provided the fabric is cared for in accordance with its specific care label instructions.

Always refer to the fabric's specific care instructions before cleaning.
